Working together on the parts that move practice forward.

Whether you come as a client commissioning work, a funder backing a programme, or a collaborator co-designing with us — a ministry, a hospital, a university, a society, a donor, or a research institution — there's a way to work together, scoped to what the brief needs.

Who we work with

Engagements shaped for each partner type.

The shape of the work changes with who's at the table. These are the partners we are built to serve.

National ministries & county health departments

Workforce design, digital health, community health systems, and programme architecture for ministry- and county-level engagements.

Hospitals & health facilities

Operational systems and clinical workforce capacity for private, faith-based, and county hospitals — from single deliverables to multi-component work.

Training institutions & academies

Universities, professional schools, and training academies on curriculum, digital learning platforms, and continuing professional development.

Professional societies

Medical, nursing, public health, and allied societies on conferences, scientific programmes, and member-facing learning.

Implementing partners & donors

International NGOs, development partners, and donor-funded programmes on workforce, digital, community, and research components inside larger initiatives.

Research institutions

Academic and applied research institutions on implementation research, qualitative inquiry, and evidence-to-practice translation.

How we engage

Models of engagement.

Five shapes the work tends to take. Most engagements are one of these — or a combination scoped to the brief.

01

Single deliverable

A defined output — a curriculum, a manual, a digital course, a scoping report, a sponsorship prospectus, an MEL framework. Scoped, delivered, done.

02

Programme partnership

A multi-component engagement across one or more practice areas — curriculum, digital, community, and MEL — with HLA acting as a sustained partner.

03

Platform licensing

Adoption of one of HLA's three platforms (HMIS, Academy LMS, or Connect) with implementation, configuration, training, and managed-service support.

04

Advisory & embedded support

Standing technical advisory to programme leadership, or embedded support to a partner team during a critical design or rollout phase.

05

Co-convening

Joint design and delivery of a scientific conference, technical workshop, or dissemination event — HLA brings the convening infrastructure and the scientific design.

How it starts

From first conversation to scope, and then to delivery.

Brief or call

A short written description of what you're trying to achieve, or a thirty-minute call. Either works. We respond within two working days.

Discovery

A working session or two to surface what's already in place, what's being designed, and what the engagement needs to produce.

Scoping document

A short proposal covering deliverables, timeline, team, methodology, and commercial terms — designed to be the basis of a contract.

Engagement

Delivery against the agreed scope, with regular check-ins, documented progress, and adjustments as the work surfaces what the brief couldn't.

A three-question starter brief

Tell us about the work.

What are you trying to achieve, who is it for, and by when? That's enough to start. The full enquiry form covers the rest.
